Advanced Info !

A user on instagram @thejeep_guy posted some advanced information to his profile. Seems to outline the dates of the upcoming plans. Sales launch by September 17,2018 ... I can wait for that ! How about you ?

Excited to see the power soft top in real life! I think this is the first time Jeep has done something like that.

I've been watching this video of a custom made one and it's been satisfying lol. Can't wait to see the actual finished product from Jeep though.

Hopefully that soft top won't require us to come to a full stop before being able to operate it. What they should do is have some low speed range as the threshold so you can just stay in the slow lane for the 20-30 seconds while the top does its thing.

Up to like 40km/h or 30km/h would be pretty good. Anything more and I'd really be afraid of damaging components.

I think you may need to be slower than that to open and close the top. It lifts up quite a bit before folding into the back, that's a lot of surface area to catch that 30km/h wind.

You can use soft tops on certain vehicles up to 35mph. Hard tops are typically 30km/h from what I've seen.

Don't know much about this but what I do know is if it's not on something recent then odds are it might not follow any new regulation set out since new safety regulations might suggest your only allowed to lower/raise the top under slow driving speeds. Depends on construction of the top as well. Many variables.

I'm more interested in the Hurricane engine and 850SE transmission. That's a combination of power and fuel economy we've never seen before in a Wrangler.
