UPDATE

The Wrangler Jl has been towed to the local Jeep/Chrysler Dealer. Chrysler has started an investigation.

This sure wasn’t in Brentwood. This happened at the 10 mile marker of I-24W in Clarksville. I am sad to say that I am the unfortunate owner of this Spicy Mojito. She was only 5 days old with less than 160 miles on the odometer. Waiting on FCA to decide the cause and how they’re gonna correct my loss.

Very sad to see these photos. Hopes they make it right. And I sure hope they can identify root cause and that it can be shared... Best of luck getting this resolved quickly.

Glad to have you on the forum because I'm curious how Jeep will handle this situation and not always do you see good coverage.
Fortunately it didn't happen at home when you were sleeping or anything crazy like that.

Keep us posted on how things go.

That is even less encouraging... at least with a 2.0 we could have blame it on additional technology and that lithium battery in the back...

But it was a 3.6 with manual transmission... carp...

There are hundreds of vehicle fires every single day, all makes and models. Sad when it is a new Jeep, but most likely a one off situation. I am sure Jeep and or the insurance company will make you whole. Keep us up to date.
