The winter trim probably, when it's pretty much dark all the time for half a year efficient headlights seems like a necessity. also, any of the more expensive trims like Rubicon, just not the Sport as that's one of the more affordable models.

I would think it could come standard on the Sahara and Rubicon, but be optional for anything underneath it. Typically the top two trims get the better features standard whereas they're just options for anything below.

Can't imagine it being in the Sahara as that model just built for hot climates with long stretches of sand. There's really no need for heating elements there.

But people have been using regular halogen headlights without projectors for the longest time now. Couple that with street lights and your in the clear. Even on roads without lighting but your own, its still sufficient. At the end of the day its not necessary. What's necessary is to have some sort of halogen headlight setup.

If we're speaking of "necessary" then yes, any sort of regular halogen headlight that is aimed at the right level is necessary. In terms of visibility, projectors coupled with LEDs are a shoe-in.

Point is there's no need to have it come standard with LED's, LED's should remain optional. What should be standard are projectors. I rather have them cheap out and to do that. When selling a volume product like this there are sacrifices to be made.
