Timeline:

In September 2017 the first orders will be accepted for the JL, which will launch as a 2018 model. In October 2017, production cars will start rolling off the line. Later that month, the journalists will all drive the press cars. Production of the pickup will start in March 2018. It will be a short model year for the pickup as all 2018 JLs will be built by June for the model year switchover.

That 8.4 Uconnect is fantastic. Have it in my Cherokee Trailhawk. It's a bit slow, but better than JK systems.

Just read about how the traditional soft top will be replaced, which makes sense when you factor in the glass roof. Glass in a soft top... can't recall when last I seen that combination. 3-piece hard top roof is what I read and it can come off in sections, so you can still have an open roof.

RIP soft top.

I remember the Mitsubishi Eclipse had a rear window made out of glass and it was soft top. But with the much bigger sizing of this glass, I agree, hard top would be the best route to go with.

I'm expecting to see LED headlights as an option, something the Wrangler JK is rumored to get. Maybe the JL will get it too.

Yea it'll be an option now I believe. Don't think they're coming standard which I personally think is stupid.
