At least it looks like FCA is doing their due diligence in having this issue resolved. I don't know how it even made it through their QA testing to begin with, but at we haven't seen any accidents or deaths as a result of it. You can thank all the new particular JL owners.

They've already said that only 4% of the recalled vehicles are expected to have this issue. That means roughly 700 Wranglers have this fault, which could be isolated to a certain production batch. Let's just hope whatever repairs they make hold.

in similar situations I have never seen the value of these hold, on many communities you see folks suggesting what year models to stay away from and it impacts the demand, good thing I haven't bought. Patience sometimes pays off especially with new vehicles that little to no track record.

Even a serious flaw like this won't have a significant impact on sales. As the majority of JL owners will probably be coming from JK's, odds are they are waiting on the second gen model regardless.
