Loren Healy has brought his racing expertise and background to the JL and created a highly bespoke rock crawler. Its got custom axels, a new transfer case, heavily upgraded suspension and massive 40' Nitto tires. They haven't made any significant changes to the powertrain but are considering an engine swap in the future.

Great build but showing more of it in action and stress testing this set is what i'm really after. All those goodies have some proving to do.

Am I correct in assuming that they will be looking to place something like a Hellcat engine if they do a swap? Seems like overkill in a slow moving rock crawler, but practicality rarely takes priority in these kinds of builds lol.

Seen quite a few Hellcat powered JL's already online. Most of them are those larger 6x6 conversions though, where the extra power is needed to compensate for all the added weight.

My biggest fear is how the Wrangler drive system holds up to Hellcat power and torque output, not always do these pairings go over well.

It's not something I would consider doing to my daily driver. If you wanted a performance oriented SUV, why wouldn't you just get a Trackhawk instead.

Exactly.

Voiding you warranty and ultimately just getting short term sustainable gains isn't my idea of fun.
Starting with components built to work with each other is what's sustainable.
