Howdy from Mid-Michigan.

Decided to get a 2 door S, Mojito, Posi, Premium Cloth, Tech. on order last Friday.

I know it's going to be a while...

Nice spec.

Were you looking at any other SUV's before deciding to order the new JL?
How much did you end up paying out the door?

There's really nothing else similar to the Wrangler. I've had a Subaru Forester, Mazda CX-5, and currently a Renegade, and wanted something that's more heavy duty. Getting tired of these light duty unibody'd "suv's".

I probably could have done more shopping & haggling, but life's short. If I remember right, it was around $33.5K before tax, which was around 1% under invoice. One of the reasons I jumped on it was they offered me $2K more for my trade in than another dealer offered. So net, I was ok with it.

Welcome to the forum man and congrats on the order! I love the additional color options that Jeep is slowly rolling out for the new JL. Did they give you any sort of way to track the progress of the build? I know there is a website you can use, but its not the most reliable.

No not yet, but I know my salesman was going on a vacation for a few days. I know it's going to take a while, so I'm in no big hurry to get a tracking number.
I'll make a post when I receive it, and it's progress.

In the future this should become an option as car makers plan to phase out the traditional dealership. If you think about it, they are mostly a waste.

Salesman emailed me the vin today and says it has a scheduled ship date at the end of the month...:surprise:

I know this is too good to be true, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
