Hello...just traded my 2013 10th Anniversary Rubicon for a 2018 JL Rubicon. It's my first four-door...owned CJ, TJ's, and JK's so hope I made the right choice with the JL. So for I like the ride and the towing capacity...I'm sure the 8speed is going to satisfy all me needs too! Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to this forum...looking forward to learning more about my JL from the members of this forum.

Randy

Congrats on the new JL Randy and welcome to the forum! I remember when 4 door Wranglers were considered blasphemous, but how quickly things have changed aha. This latest model is looking to be the best one yet. You planning on doing any aftermarket mods?

Thanks Mudrunner...one of the first mods would be to replace the rocker rails. I like the OEM rails on the JK Recon but not sure if it will fit the JL. In regards to lift I'm not sure because of how high the fenders sit now...if I do it would be no more than a 2" lift. I need to see more pics of lifted JL's...

Thanks Goliath...i've only driven it about 300 miles so far but getting ready take a 600 mile (round trip) camping trip next week towing a 1800 lb small camper...so I'll know more after the trip. The JL rides much smoother compared to my other Jeeps and I really like all the comfort options that came on the JL. It has the LED lighting package (nice), NAV with back-up camera (nice), blindspot alerts (nice), and more bells and whistles than Carter has liver pills. I'll give a road report when I get back from my camping trip.

BTW...I do miss the maneuverability of the two doors...but I like the extra room.
