Hey guys, new to forum, just put in my order for a wrangler jl sport s and was wondering if anyone has any idea on approximate lenth of time till delivery at this stage of production? First ever jeep, cant wait till it gets here!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first Jeep! There should be a way to track your build progress online. If you've left your email address with the dealer they should send you an email with a link containing tracking info.

Welcome to the forum man, glad to have a new member! And the wait time seems to vary significantly depending on whether or not you got the two door or four door. On average it seems to take about 3 months.

So I just ordered mine a few weeks ago. I am in New York. My dealer told me 6-10 weeks. As of the conversation I just had, final delivery looks like it will be closer to 8 weeks (Mid-June). That said, when I checked with the chat function on Jeep.com, it told me that my VIN was still waiting to be scheduled for production and they are telling buyers 10-12 weeks. I trust my dealer, but I'm not holding my breathe. That said, if you have your VIN, you can check with the chat on jeep.com.

Not surprised builds are backed up when the model is so popular. I guess when you've waited this long an extras two-fours weeks won't be too bad. In the meantime you can start looking at some aftermarket parts and maybe there's going to be more options by the time yours arrive around June to July.

I put my order in beginning of May dealer stated my order was on hold do to my color choice, Mojito. On May 10 they said jeep released the hold and my order was going forward. They said typical jeep we're taking 4 to 6 weeks. Not hold my breath.

Well, look on the bright side...You are ahead of me. I just ordered a 2 door, Mojito, Premium soft top last Friday. I'm in MI, so I hope to get it before the snow flies.

Looking forward to what you guys have to say about these once they arrive. Having seen all that auto detailers have to rant about how new car paint often comes from the factory, I hope Jeep did a good job here. New cars sometimes come with way too much orange peel

I know some people "color sand" to get rid of some of it, but I just can't bring myself to take sandpaper to a new vehicle.
Won't be able to see it if we get enough mud on them.

Haven't heard any new owners mention any paint issues thus far, so hopefully Jeep has avoided it in the JL. Definitely worth giving your vehicle an in depth one over before leaving the dealership.
