The test drivers had to take a peek under the hood and autoblog took a picture of the hood's underside. It still has the same bolt holes in the hood at the base near the chunky hinges and maybe the same external hood tie-down latches.
Never thought they would change the tie downs that were on the Wrangler JK and prior generations hood. It's become one of those essential iconic features of the Wrangler that everyone loves to see.
Maybe that means we can still use JK body parts, if so then this will be one smart move to still get that very loyal following they had with the JK. From TJ to JK it wasn't nearly as possible to do this but already through spy shots aside from this we seen a lot of JK DNA.
aside from the tie-downs are the external hood hinges, which if brought to the production model means we're likely to see matching ones on the doors too.
